Hard as it is to find bad kwetiau in the Hayam Wuruk – Mangga Besar area, this one is way better than the ubiquitous Akang, and certainly worthy of its thoroughfare seat; fried, in gravy or the yam variety, the kwetiau is equally edifying at Rp 17,000 a portion. Poetry can also be found in the establishment’s matte, unintentionally retro signage, reticent façade and broken-down, pokey interior.
